Distict 6 Housing

I was commissioned by Jakupa Architects and Arup engineers to design six large panels for a public presentation by the South African Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Mr Gugile Nkwinti . The presentation was of a housing proposal for the politically sensitive District Six area in Cape Town, location of racially motivated forced removals during the Apartheid era.

The panels were displayed at the presentation which was held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in early 2013.

The panels had to visually communicate the various housing designs in a bold, clear and understandable way. My work included the graphics, design & layout of the six panels and all the 3D illustration.

The housing design and presentation panels were very well received by the community.
